It is very bizarre to read about all the snowstorms in the rest of the country. Our winter has been so mild that when I poked my head out the back door this morning, I wasn’t even really that surprised to see that I already have flowers coming up.

    Don’t you dare jinx us. We’re barely into February. Plenty of time for ice storms before spring gets a firm hold.

    Well, another good storm would give me a reprieve on the roses. My landlady said I should trim them back around President’s Day, but they’ve already got new green leaves so I’m afraid I’ve left it too late.
